The Safety Evaluation of Some Plants of the Zingibereceae Family

: The Zingiberaceae family has long been used by the community as a spice, cosmetic ingredient, spice and an ingredient in traditional medicine. This review article aims to identify scientific information from research thatched regarding of use plants, especially those family. A literature study method writing this review. Literature searches were conducted online through search engines such Google Scholar, Pubmed, NCBI using keyword "Zingiberaceae". "Toxicity test" "Toxicity" followed each plant's Latin name. library criteria are international journals indexed Scopus Q1 Q4 national Sinta S1 S6 published last ten years (2012-2022). found that 18 plants had their toxicity tested acutely, subacutely, chronically including Alpinia calcarata, galanga, malaccensis, Amomum compactum Sol. Ex Maton, Boesenbergia rotunda, Curcuma angustifolia. caesia, longa, xanthorriza, comosa, Etlingera elatior, Globba pendula, Hedychium spicatum, Kaempferia Zingiber officinales, zerumbet, cassumunar categorized non-toxic.
